| Houses on Temple Drive collapsed into Clifton Hall Tunnel (Black Harry Tunnel) in 28 April 1953 killing 5 occupants of the houses. The tunnel was abandaned and later filled in to prevent futher collapse. |

| Old Swinton municipal offices (before Pendlebury & Radcliffe incorporation). New Swinton town hall replaced this building in Victoria Park. The building then became a clinic housing the dreaded school dentist amongst others. |
