The Grange - formerly the Swan Inn, one of Stevenage's many coaching inns. Samuel Peyps stayed here in the 17th century. In the 1960s this was where the first year classrooms for Alleyne's Grammar School were located. The very substantial red brick building was later converted to the sixth form teaching and study block. Today it has been converted into private flats I believe. '
