' Abandoned tram track of the east branch. This branch at 0.493 mile was slightly longer than the west branch ran to Wood Green Underground station. Opened on 9th May 1906 it ran for a short time to Bruce Grove Tottenham. On 20th October 1906, just 6 months after opening, a car half way up the hill - a gradient of 1 in 10, ran out of control right back to the gates but was halted before the sharp curves outside the gates. A sand bin half way down the hill was erected shortly afterwards. Both branches were closed on 11 September 1914 for the duration of WW1, reopening on 30th march 1920. The two route survived until replaced by diesel buses on 23rd February 1938. '
