' Hendon trolleybus depot, later to be renamed, as were five other depots under the 1950 reorganisation, in this case to Colindale. It is believed that Hendon Depot had constructed in the depot grounds a trial line in 1909 for the first demonstration in Britain of a trolleybus. Colindale depot closed on 2nd January 1962 - as part of stage 13 of the conversion programme, and staff transfered away to Edware and Cricklewood bus garages. '
