Fairywell Brook (boundary between Baguley & Timperley). The fields to the left (westwards) are in Timperley, and those to the right and the top (eastwards and northwards) are in Baguley.
The name "Roundthorn", given here as the district name, was first used in the mid-1950s to describe the industrial estate newly established around the junction of Shady Lane and Floats Road, on the land of Roundthorn Farm. It wasn't, and still isn't, the name of the district, which is Baguley. '
