This was the terminus of a branch line from Brent, on the GWR main line to the west of England. Branch and this station closed in 1963. |

This photo illustrates well why such branch line termini have been much modelled. A relatively compact layout yet with a multitude of buildings - station building, goods shed, signal box, water tower, cattle dock etc. A broad variety of rolling stock with mixed stock trains and single coaches just sitting in the sidings. A small but busy looking station with a natural scene edge in the trees behind. |
