It is odd to see so much open space - fields in fact - behind St Mary's Church. No Cantelupe Centre, Chalons Way or any housing between the Church and Park Cemetery at the top of the picture. The Cenotaph is newly erected on the Market Place but there is as yet no memorial garden or cross of remembrance at St Mary's.
