Erewash Museum. High Street When the photo was taken in 1928, the Museum was owned by the MALTBY family, and was called Dalby House. The Maltby's were prominent Lace Manufacturer's in Ilkeston and Long Eaton.

Joe Wright's barbers shop, with the 'Bon-Bon' Shop on the corner of Wharncliffe Road. His large family lived above both shops. Sold to the Co-op when he retired in 1936 and demolished in 1938/9.

Ilkeston's original open air swimming pool, closed about 1970.
