The Jeffries lived at number 9 and the Scarratt's lived at number 31. John William Jeffries had a window cleaning business and was a former Potteries Electric Tram ( PAT) driver. Joshua Scarratt was killed in WW1 in 1916 aged 21 years. |

Pedley's was actually a small sweet shop, as I recall in the 1950s. Next door was Brayfords the green grocer.Both buildings are attached and very old cottages, possibly 18th century |
