These are spare traction poles stored ready for use in the town. Traction poles were planted in the pavements at the roadside to hold the trolleybus wires aloft. |

Parked up tower wagons and maintenance vehicles for trolleybus overhead repairs. Some of these vehicles maybe withdrawn from use and awaiting disposal? One vehicle, converted from a former bus, has had the overhead tower assembly removed, which may have been transferred to a replacement vehicle? |

WW2 wartime air raid shelter for garage staff at Park Lane Bus Depot from 1939-1945. Part of this site where the shelter stood, was later fenced off and a modern post war electrical sub station built. The post war sub station was dismantled in the early years of the 21st Century. |

This is likely trolleybus overhead repair tower wagon No4? No 4 was a Fordson Thames chassis & cab fitted, with bodywork and tower made by Eagle of Warwick. The vehicle was new in 1942. |

By 1948, Wolverhampton CT were only operating four single deck trolleybuses (207, 208, 232 & 233) of which this is one. The remainder 206, 210-213 & 231 had been withdrawn between 1944-1945. |
