The Ford motor factory was turned over to aircraft engine production for the duration of the war.Rolls Royce Merlin engines were produced here.The factory covered 98 acres.After the war Massey Ferguson had it as their CPO (central parts operation) along side a manufacturing plant at Barton Dock Road BDR |
