St Mary's - Stockport Parish Church. Grade 1 listed building. A small portion of the 1190 church remains. The chancel is about 1310. The tower was last rebuilt in 1810.

St Thomas Church, Stockport, consecrated 1825 as a daughter church of Stockport Parish Church (St Mary). A Grade 1 listed building.

St Georges Church, Heaviley. Despite its large size this is not the parish church of Stockport. It was built by a local brewer George Fearn and consecrated in 1897. The tower and spire reach to 72m.
