St Mary's - Stockport Parish Church. Grade 1 listed building. A small portion of the 1190 church remains. The chancel is about 1310. The tower was last rebuilt in 1810.

St Georges Church, Heaviley. Despite its large size this is not the parish church of Stockport. It was built by a local brewer George Fearn and consecrated in 1897. The tower and spire reach to 72m.
