Road running parallel to the canal with, I think, several pedestrians and cyclists.

Type of open unpowered barge used on the Regent's Canal and the other broad canals linked to the Grand Union Canal which meet in this area.

Are these jerrycans? Jerrycans are said to have been invented in the 1930's so this might have been an early use.

You would be hard-pressed to make out a jerrycan from that height. It looks like a load of large packing cases on a freight barge.

I've had ideas about this one for a while and have marked my best guess at the location. I think it's probably at the north end of the Heston Air Park site, where The Common runs next to the Grand Union Canal. The top left corner appears to show the winding path in the recreation ground opposite, but it's difficult to be conclusive.

Tony you have convinced me on this one. All the evidence points towards the location which you have selected and nothing is out of place.

Is that a railway line in the top left hand corner?

If yes then could it be somewhere near Stockley Park/West Drayton? Perhaps looking north to south?

Sorry its all questions and not answers.
