Yeoman Hey Reservoir, above Greenfield. Greenfield Reservoir is obscured by the burning heather above it. Beyond Yeoman Hey is now Dovestones Reservoir, completed ~1967. A similar view to this can be had from the A635 Greenfield - Holmfirth Road, locally known as the "Isle of Skye" road after a former hostelry.	iamian	Saturday 8th of December 2012 01:30:53 PM

I'm fairly certain this is a view down onto Yeoman Hey Reservoir on the western flanks of Black Hill, east of Oldham. The road wrapping through the centre then off to the upper right of the image is the present day A635 Holmfirth Road. The Dovestone Reservoir which would be seen below this reservoir in the modern view wasn't built until nearly 40 years after this image was captured.
