St Bernard's School established in 1897. Before that it was St Michaels School established in 1869. The original house - Aldin House was built in 1860. It was certainly a 'girls' school only in the 50's and early 60's; it was just 'across the road' from Slough Grammar School and a certain amount of intermingling took place.
