(means the head of the bright holy place)
Grade 2 listed building - Cadw Building ID: 8728
The house seems little changed since this image and is available for stays. The farm sells organic food. Now run by Sue Best and Phil Bowen. Seven miles from Llandrindod Wells- in its own grounds and reached by private road on the N side of the A470, approximately 1.2km SE of Llanwrthwl.
In the grounds the Mid Wales Shakespeare Centre perform at Glôb Byw. (If your character set doesn't show that correctly, the o in Glob has a little hat on it, it's Welsh).
A small C19 country house built for Daniel Reed (d 1827), a retired tea-planter. A late-Georgian style villa of 2 storeys with attic and 8 bays.
In 1840 it was owned by Henry Lingen, and it comprised only a single range |
