Footpath leading to Oxhey Lane (if you walk to the right). Oh dear - Once a plain unmolested and quiet right of way. Now? A sanitised 'Country Park' with benches, dog-do bins and 'In the country 'Disneyesque' signage in case you're not sure where you might be. When railway terraces in Upper/Lower Paddocks Villiers Rd, are dubbed 'Oxhey village' all was lost "Next week we're to stick-up a twenty foot fibre-glass squirrel and have done". |
