St Giles's Mission Church, Green Lane, held baptisms between 1905 and 1958. Part of the former church was to become Billy Pond's Dance Studio in the early 1960s. Billy's Ballroom closed down in 1988. Astride 1960, on a theatre-like lower floor, the St John Ambulance Brigade, St Giles Division, D Corps, City of Birmingham gave first aid instruction.
