Site of the original Cromford and High Peak station. The original line continued to curve here then straightened to cross the later line at a right angle, on top of the 1892 Hindlow tunnel, which was in daily use at 13 December 2017. The original line then curved al the way round the hill, to meet the later line at what is December 2017 was Hindlow Quarry, accessed opposite Sterndale Moor village.

The approach road to the original 1830 Hindlow station, long since quarried away.

This bridge was removed many years ago, but the northern approach embankment was plain to see on 13 December 2017
