Brentwood Town Hall, High Street, built 1864 on the site of the Assize House by the Town Hall Company and demolished in 1963 at the end of its 99-year lease. Built in brick with a large clock projecting into the High St, it contained a large hall and committee and reading rooms. |

Wilson's Corner, so named after (I think) this store. Marks the junction of (now) A128 and the main road (now) A12. |

Yes, this corner was named after Wilson's store which traded there for many years. The building was still there when I last was in Brentwood a few years ago and was still shops but not Wilsons. |
