Middleton Hall, Middleton Hall Lane, eighteenth century (much altered), Grade II listed. Since 1949, Brentwood Preparatory School.

Brentwood Town Hall, High Street, built 1864 on the site of the Assize House by the Town Hall Company and demolished in 1963 at the end of its 99-year lease. Built in brick with a large clock projecting into the High St, it contained a large hall and committee and reading rooms.

Wilson's Corner, so named after (I think) this store. Marks the junction of (now) A128 and the main road (now) A12.

Yes, this corner was named after Wilson's store which traded there for many years. The building was still there when I last was in Brentwood a few years ago and was still shops but not Wilsons.
