"Riversdale"

WEST DIDSBURY. The old Withington Town Hall, built as the council offices of the Withington Urban District Council, which was the local authority before the area was incorporated into Manchester in 1904, still stands near this point.

Withington and West Didsbury Station - closed 1961. The passenger service along the line survived a few years longer, succumbing to the Beeching cuts in 1967. The metrolink tram now operates along the track, but the new metro station is further east.
