 This was where I learned to ride my bike in he mid 60's it was turned into a car park for Hopkinsons. The photo is from 2009 after the works closed. Before the car park we kids used to play in the fields and had some good crab apple fights in the autumn |

 Lived in this house from 1954 to1968 Father was a foreman at Hopkinsons. The photo was taken in 2009 the factory had been demolished and houses were being built |

My dad worked at Hopkinson's from 1936 1965 Foreman Rate Fixer and I went to Birkby school from 1947 - 1953 Know the area very well. |
