New Cross Stadium, the "Frying Pan". Originally an athletics venue, later better known for greyhound racing. From 1934 to 1953 and again in 1959-61 and 1963 Speedway was the other main attraction, with stock cars and boxing also staged. Last dog meeting April 1069. Demolished 1975. '
