The Tharsis Sulpher & Copper Works Reservoir. When Tharsis moved out of the town the reservoir was left unfenced & became a magnet for local kids. A lad called Colqhoun drowned in it about 1950. It had claimed other lives in earlier times as it was close to the Newtown area which was just over the railway lines. '
