' This was a deep Reservoir & part of the Tharsis Sulpher & Copper Works processing plant. When Tharsis moved out the buildings were all demolished & the reservoir left unfenced. Kids like myself played in this area 1949 to 1953 & the buildings were nearly all gone. Sometimes we fished for sticklebacks in the reservoir. We knew it was deep & dangerous as it had steep brick lined sloping sides & about 30ft deep. A boy called Colqhoun & about my age drowned in it about 1950ish. At the time I was about 6 yrs old.No Health & Saftety those days. '
