This is what I remember as the Lancashire Education Committe Teacher Training Collage at Padgate. The Theatre and some of the buildings still exist. Beyond the end of Fearnhead Lane (foreground) used to be an army camp and as you look at the photo it was East to Warrington, North to Risley, Culcheth, Leigh and West to Winwick. Also Crab Lane at the top of the photo was moved to allow the M6 to be built. '
