' The pin marks the approximate position of the train in this 1965 view of the Stockton and Darlington Railway route along Stockton's quayside. The locomotive (works number 814) was built by Andrew Barclays of Kilmarnock in 1898. Worthy of note in the background, above the second and third trucks, is the building at the end of the north side of Finkle Street which still exists in 2013. The Custom House Tavern had been demolished and the remains of its walls can be seen above the first truck, buttressing the adjoining building on the south side of the street. '
