Magdalen Street. A street of Georgian houses which survived the war but by the 1950/60's had been allowed to fall into rotting disrepair and were demolished by Exeter City Council in the early 1960's. I used to shop at several of the premises and there's no doubt that they were extremely rundown but it does beg the question of whether these Georgian properties should have been preserved and conserved by the council. The whole area is now given over to the motor car. '
