' Sadlers Park, hemmed in between gardens of houses in Manchester Rd, Stewart St and Davies St, with what looks like an entrance just behind The Manchester Arms situated at the top corner in Manchester Rd. A tarmaced surface with swings and a roundabout. In 1939 the council dug up the park and built an underground air raid shelter there. '
