This station was built by the Londonderry and Enniskillen Railway Company and opened 1854 and closed circa 1860 when the new Station, more well known, was built and completed in 1859 by the Dundalk and Enniskillen Railway Company. The original station later became a cattle beach know as the Derry Cattle Beach. '
