' This is the artist's studio built c.1911 by Francis William Reckitt (1860-1932), grandson of the founder of Reckitt & Sons. The studio became Mount Pleasant Hospital during WW1. His Mount Pleasant Artists' Rest Home is next door. This opened in 1929, was closed in 1959 and demolished in 1963. '
