The Detroit Railway Swing Bridge was formerly a railway bridge linking the docks with Trafford Park and is now a Salford Quays landmark. The 80-metre long footbridge spans Dock 9 linking Harbour City and Metrolink to The Lowry and The Designer Outlet. It had originally been used as a railway swing bridge crossing the Manchester Ship Canal to the west of the Trafford Road swing bridge
It was re-located to its present position in 1988 '
