Remnant of the concrete base to the 3rd of the military mystery towers. These bases were constructed here and then moved 1000 yards West to be completed with the superstructure. Only the first two towers were completed by 1918. One was towed out to the sea to become the Nab Tower navigation lighthouse. The second was demolished in 1922. This 3rd and subsequent bases were left in place and eventually incorporated into the harbour wall and dock construction. '
