Bus Station. 1928. Space for 200 cars, filling station and workshop. Remodeled by 1936. Closed in 1987. Demolished in 1988. Replaced by Carlton Mansions. Original clock on front of the bus station was saved and was moved to the Beach Lawns in 1991, and removed c.2010 during redevelopment of the lawns.
Built on site of Beach Road Garage, 1914 and Belvedere. Belvedere was built in 1811 by wealthy glass manufacturer and politician, Isaac Jacobs. Jacobs sold the house in 1819 due to financial difficulty. Subdivided by 1847. One half used as a 'school for young gentlemen' by Jonathan Elwell. The back garden was developed by the 1840s. Both Belvedere and the garage were demolished in 1925. '
