Former site of the Co Op shelter where a large number of people were killed when the building above recived a direct hit from a bomb during the May Blitz 1941 causing it to collapse trapping and killing those sheltering underneath. It is now the site of The Sefton 'One Stop Shop' with a memorial garden to those killed in 1941 behind it. '
