Air raid precaution (ARP) signal box. 14" thick walls and a thick concrete roof and floor. Designed to be able to withstand bomb blast or a direct hit from a small bomb. Floor and roof were self shuttering 'U' shaped beams which were then covered in concrete. They were almost impossible to demolish in the 1970s and 1980s! '
