' This building became the Head Office of A.T. Mays the travel agents who started their business in the towns Hamilton Street, they expanded and had approx. 50 branches mainly in Scotland, before being sold to the Royal Bank in the 80's who in turn then sold them to American travel firm Carlson Wagon-lit. They were then sold to Thomas Cook. '
