' Dr Hyde's footbridge. One of the few (only?) bridges built on the British rail network for an individual. When the line was built, it cut across a path that Dr Hyde used for his daily walk. He must have been a man of some influence. The bridge remains, in situ, today, but is sadly in a poor state. '
