' No's 1,3 and 5 were constructed in 1939 and the road was to be called Coronation Road but with the abdication of Edward VIII was changed before construction began. No1 was priced at £315 new. Willow brook at the rear of the houses also had watercress in it at this point but with the building later in the 1950's of the road died off. '
