' This massive building with the boarded up windows was the station building for Bow on the North London Railway Service from Broad Street to Poplar, closed for Passengers in 1945 (trains stopped in 1944). It had a large hall above it that was first used by the "Bow and Bromley Institute" where lectures were held. It changed uses several times, including a Technical College, the Salvation Army (by 1911), it was from 1930 the "Embassy Billiard Hall". It had lost the Top floor before it was demolished. '
