' Ar Parkeston Quay three steamers provided a service to Antwerp from 1921 to 1939: Antwerp, Malines and Bruges, all of 2,900 tons and capable of 21-knots. They were, it seems, originally ordered by the Great Eastern Railway, prior to the Grouping of the railways. The Bruges and the Malines were lost on active service during World War II.
