' Covercroft - family house through 1960s, demolished to make space for development (probably late 70s/80s?). Originally the manager's house for the Salt Works in 1800s. When the Salt Works were demolished it left a large common space also known as the covercroft. During the 60s, visiting Fairs and Circuses would pitch up on covercroft for a week or so at a time. '
