This was the furniture warehouse of Jackamans Ltd - 19-23 London Road. this went onto become John Perrings Ltd / Perrings furniture store and the original frontage Victorian/Edwardian was replaced by a modern 60s style (https://www.stpaulsgarwood.com/southend-bus-station.html). The building was demolished along with the Eastern National Bus Garage/Station and Kenbro carpet store to make way for the Sainsburys store in the late 1980s. Perrings moved to a new building opposite, on the site of the former chapel next to Southend Technical College's London Road campus on the corner of the newly created college way. After Perring's closure it became MVC (Music Video Club), after that The Factory Shop, and has now been split into several eateries. '
