' Great Thames Embankment Tramway Shelter. Erected by the LCC and commenced use in 1911 it was fitted with an early PA system nicknamed the "Tramaphone". In 1915 a second shelter was added. After the end of trams in July 1952 the structure was demolished in September 1953. Shelters were very rare on the London system, others were to be found at Manor House and Crystal Palace. '
