They bear the resemblance of a standard WW2 British Restaurant, with the kitchen area hut at the rear with a larger adjoining dining area hut nearest Kenton Lane. Some British Restaurants continued operating into the 1950s along with the food rationing that necessitated their existence in the first place. '
