Trolleybus at the "Moorgate" terminus. Six routes terminated here: From 6th March 1938 - 609 Barnet; 8th May 38 - 641 Winchmore Hill; 10th July 38 - 615 Parliament Hill Fields, and 639 Hampstead; 5th February 1939 - Stamford Hill; 10th December 1939 - 611 Highgate Village. It was usual practice for trolleybuses to have a short stand time at central area termini, usually due to lack of space, and have a longer turn round at the country end of the route. However, for the 609 Finsbury Square offered more space than at Barnet so the situation was reversed. Moorgate succumbed as a trolleybus terminus as part of stage 12 of the Trolleybus to Buses conversion plan on 7th November 1961, the last two routes running here being the 609 and 641. '
