St Gabriel's became the terminating point of route 651 trolleybuses from Barnet and route 645 from Finchley. Route 651 commenced on 8th march 1938 but was very short-lived with an existence of only 12 weeks. The 645 to here, was an off peak shuttle service - rather than the full service between Barnet and Canons Park which itself was withdrawn in April 1941. For these services, and the few evening 664s and 666's which turned here, a turning circle was erected at the junction of Walm Lane and Chichele Road. '
