' Queens Park works of The North British Locomotive Co. Founded in 1903 as a result of an amalgamation of a number of smaller companies, this plant originally being owned by Dubs and Co. They not only built locomotives for the UK but exported worldwide. Sadly the companies fortunes declined during the late 1950's resulting in closure in 1962. The site is now an industrial estate. '
