Brixworth station, on the former L&NWR Northampton-Market Harborough line opened 16 Feb 1859. Spratton station, a mile to the south also served Brixworth, being considerably nearer that village than the one from which it took its name. Closed by BR the line is now leased by the Northampton & Lamport Railway who are working to create a heritage line. '
