Cummersdale Corn Mill, first recorded in 1262, used as a corn mill by several different owners over its history. It is mentioned in Issac Tullie's account of the siege of Carlisle in 1644.The corn milling ceased in the 1890's and the building was sold along with the cotton mills and all the cottages to Stead McAlpin in 1905.The building was demolished in 1970's.
